About Ino — Honest Records from Every Road

Hi, I'm Ino — a traveler and food lover based in South Korea.

It started small. A quiet neighborhood restaurant. A bowl of something warm. A moment worth remembering.

That habit of noticing — and writing things down — eventually carried me far beyond the familiar streets of home. Across the United States. Through the backstreets of Japan. Into the neon-lit nights of Hong Kong. Up to the hilltops of Barcelona.

This blog, Going With Ino, is where those journeys live.

What You'll Find Here

I write about travel and food — not as separate things, but as two sides of the same experience. A destination isn't just a place. It's a smell, a texture, a moment at a table that you didn't expect to remember but somehow never forget.

You'll find honest, first-hand accounts of:

— Restaurants and local food worth seeking out
— Travel destinations across the US, Japan, Hong Kong, Europe, and Korea
— Practical tips from someone who's actually been there
— The small details that travel guides tend to leave out

My Approach: No Exaggeration, No Shortcuts

We live in a world full of superlatives. "Best ever." "Must visit." "Life-changing."

I don't write that way.

What I do is describe things as precisely and honestly as I can — the actual texture of the food, the real atmosphere of a place, the things that surprised me and the things that didn't quite live up to the hype. Everything I publish comes from direct, personal experience.

I believe the most useful travel writing is the kind that tells you exactly what to expect — so you can decide for yourself whether it's worth the trip.

Where We're Going

Right now, I'm working through years of accumulated journeys — starting with the United States, and moving on to Japan, Hong Kong, Europe, and the food scene right here in Korea.

There's a lot of road left to cover. I'm glad you're here for it.
